Oxygen in the air we breathe is made up of two joined oxygen atoms (O + O or O2).  If we take three oxygen atoms and recombine them so that there are three atoms of oxygen joined, we now have ozone (O3). When ozone is introduced into the body, it reacts with the red blood cells (the oxygen carrying cells), dramatically increasing the amount of oxygen they release to cells throughout the body. O2 doesn’t have the same effect on red blood cells as O3, which means that while breathing in pure O2 will increase the oxygen content of the red blood cells, this does not improve the red blood cells ability to drop the oxygen off to the cells of the body, ozone does. When the tissue cells get the extra oxygen, they immediately become more active and full of life due to the energy that is produced when the oxygen is used to make ATP (the actual energy unit produced in each cell of the body giving life).
